His vision, that Mafi products would be successfully introduced into the architecturally driven high end luxury interiors markets in the US, is becoming a reality with each new project.

Within only a few short months, Mafi received further contracts from residential luxury projects in NY, which have been featured in both the NY Times and NY Post. The “One York” building has ordered 55,000 SF of Mafi Wide Plank Clear Oak, white Oil finish for it’s 40 apartments designed by world renowned Enrique Norton of Ten Arqitectos (Mexico City/NY), with whom Mafi has already cooperated on other projects. The architect firm Gwathmey, Siegel have specified 98,000 SF Mafi Wide Plank Vulcano Oak, natural oil finish for their contemporary 311 West Broadway (Soho Mews) condo building: “Our approach to architecture is rooted in the individual’s perception of space and perception rests with the “perceivers”, the people who live in, work in, and visit the building and site. We value their insight because ultimately it is through their interpretation and their questions that the building becomes resolved” so Gwathmey&Siegel on their design philosophy, within which the Mafi concept is fully integrated.
